An Enrichment-Based Memory Program
In response to the growing need for quality memory care services within the local and surrounding communities, Riverside Manor thoughtfully dedicated part of the campus as Reflections Neighborhoods. Offering a safe, compassionate and home-like atmosphere for individuals coping with memory challenges. Reflections features an enrichment-based care philosophy supported by an around-the clock dedicated team of nurses and nursing assistants who are trained in the treatment of all types and stages of memory disorders.
Reflections Neighborhood features a one-story floor plan filled with natural light, a soft color design palette, secured indoor and outdoor gathering areas, spacious walking paths and visual cues to reduce anxiety and frustration. Accommodations are typically shared to promote engagement, companionship and a sense of community.
Life enrichment opportunities are purposefully planned to meet the individualized needs, interests and lifetime hobbies of each resident and are sequenced in shortened intervals to enhance attention spans and energy levels. It is shown that Reflections’ robust programmatic opportunities promote a higher level of self-confidence and quality of life by integrating function with interests and life enrichment.
Individuals move to Reflections Neighborhood from the local community, other senior living facilities, a hospital or within the Riverside manor campus. Our team collaborates with current caregivers, healthcare providers and family members in advance to promote a warm, welcoming and graceful transition to Reflections Neighborhood. As openings occur, Riverside Manor offers short-stay respite options (with no minimum stay requirement) to provide caregivers opportunities to rest and re-energize themselves.
Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia requires specialized programs, training, patience and compassion. Riverside Manor is dedicated to providing that special care that your loved one deserves. Riverside Manor is an active supporter, contributor and educator with the Greater East Ohio Area Chapter Alzheimer’s Association.
